Nike, Cummins, and Celanese Are Just a Few Companies that Target BYU MBAs For Internationals and Foreign Language Speaking Graduates and Interns

Nike, Cummins, and Celanese are a just a handful of companies that come to BYU primarily looking for international students and students who are fluent in a foreign language. The companies sponsor internationals and have their eye on students who come from or have a language skill from Brazil, Russia, China, and India.

The CEO of Celanese is a BYU graduate and considers BYU a core school along with Harvard, Darden, and Texas. This year 5 of the 12 internship offers were extended to BYU students, three of which were internationals.

Cummins has a long relationship with BYU and loves to take students from the BRIC countries. Three international students accepted offers. Also, U.S. students who have a foreign language skill and a great understanding of the culture are seen as a big plus.

Nike is a new edition to BYU. The company has it eye on the BYU MBA program because Brazil is becoming a big target for the company and BYU has many Brazilian nationals and U.S. students who speak the language and understand the culture.

Great article. I really want to apply to BYU but I am worried about its placement since last year it didn't do as well as in previous years. Please post how many graduates (%) get a job offer upon graduation and how many 1st year students get internship offers by the end of the semester. Thanks!

Christian will do. Things are looking good for both full-time placement and internship placement. Better than in 2009 and 2010 when the economy was struggling.

I don't know what your looking to do post MBA school, but BYU is really strong in placing students in certain industries and weak in others. For example, students looking to work in consulting are going to struggle compared to students looking to want to work in Tech Marketing.

Thanks for your interest.
